How have you been? In which school are you studying? Miss you too, my child. How is your uncle and aunt? Give my regards to them and to your brother. Why did you change the school? Are you with your parents? How is the life there in your new school?

Please study. Never, ever think of quitting the school. You are one great student I have ever met. I am confident that you will become a great person. Just concentrate on your studies. Do not get distracted by the useless works of life. Act according to the time.  Time will decide everything. For now, just pay attention to your studies. I am really very proud of you, my child. A sweet surprise

I still have the wishing cards that sir gave us during our birthday and exam when sir was our class teacher.

I am proud to have teacher like you, sir. That is why I kept some memories of sir with me. When sir gave us these wishes I still remember sir saying us to take care of it. So I did and that time I promised to care it and show these letters to you when I grow up.

I thought of showing these letters after some years but I could not wait. Sir, it will be with me throughout my life and one day I will again send you these letters.

Teaching in fact, is not a tough profession. Love making has never been reported to be tough either! A great teaching is similarly identical to great sex. This mathematical operation can best be solved through literal interpretation! First, let’s understand the components of GREAT SEX and

A great sex requires great preparation, such as, mental, physical, environmental, etc. Similarly, assembling assorted aids like lubricants, water, tissue papers, protective gear, etc. before sex is invaluable. A harmonious unison of various tones becomes a good music. Thus, a good variation in tone sets a perfect rhythm. Do not forget to study the body language. Most powerful messages are expressed through gestures. It is extremely important to maintain and exhibit perfect gesture. A perfect mount at the start, harmonious ride during the journey, and the perfect dismount at the destination summarizes the whole expedition of sex. A post-action ‘cooling down’ is required for a satisfying sex. Reviewing the whole process makes a person better. It helps him figure out the falls, appreciate the strengths, and provides room for improvement.

A great teaching has the similar components and procedures. A great teacher prepares adequately before going to the class. Lesson plans are prepared, teaching aids are assembled, strategies are selected, and activities are designed. Conducive environment is created through pre-lesson warm up activities.  A lesion of desired length with effective actives are delivered. A good variation in tone is maintained besides the exhibition of appropriate gestures. Follow-up activities are carried out, lessons are summarized, and reviews are held.

Teacher of my dream

It takes a perfect unification of numerous qualities to become an effective teacher. A good teacher to me is embedded in the word TEACHER itself. If a person is Thoughtful, Energetic, Adaptable, Creative, Honest, Educated, and Respectful, he or she can become a great teacher. A great teacher’s teaching must be Thought-provoking, Entertaining, Artistic, Curious, Harmonious, Incredible, Natural and Generous. It is what ‘teaching’ stands for.

Teaching is not a simple task that any literate beings can take it up as a profession. The passion for teaching and the patience to prepare for teaching are two difficult facets of this noble profession. The single most important quality that every teacher should possess is a love and passion for teaching people with patience. Teachers who do not enjoy their job cannot possibly be an effective teacher despite being the intellectual genius or academic champion.

I strive to become a teacher that stands for the aforementioned descriptions. I work hard to understand the content that I teach. I never stop to learn. I prepare and learn to explain the content in a way my students understand.

Walked past them with praises and bows
With beauty they grew in bounty of vows
To never to see them fallen and browned
Wilt and fade on unkempt ground
Before I weave wreath, my grave be not crowned.
